MIM technologies
Carbonyl iron powders are used for MIM technologies (MIM - Metal Injection Molding) and traditional powder metallurgy. Due to their fine structure, they are an excellent raw material for the production of high-precision complex-shaped parts with high density, high strength and good magnetic properties.
Powders of carbonyl iron can be mixed with powders of other metals to obtain products from various steel grades (including stainless steel), which ultimately allows you to choose the composition corresponding to different steel grades. Parts manufactured in this case both by MIM technology and traditional powder metallurgy have the chemical composition of a given steel grade.
Advantages of products manufactured using MIM technology
- High strength of parts due to the modification of the characteristics of materials and the use of alloying additives.
- The ability to obtain parts of a more complex geometric shape without additional processing.
- High accuracy of tolerances and dimensions.
- A wide range of possible surfaces of parts.
- Reducing production costs.
